About Us

Hi, I’m John!

Having worked as a taxi driver in the past, I’ve always enjoyed working on the road and getting from place to place. At the same time though, I’m not someone who just wants to be stuck behind a wheel all day. I like to get out and about, meet people, work hard and keep fit.

In the early 2000s, I realised I could combine these two passions by moving into removal and storage, where I can stay on the move but mix this up with exercise and socialising. With my wife Marie, we started a man-and-van service that has since developed into a successful removal company. I now help people and businesses who are on the move – whether it’s to another part of town or another country – by safely storing and transporting their furniture and other valuables, looking after each item as if it were my own.

What we do at Merseyside Movers & Storers isn’t just lugging and lifting though. As a husband-and-wife-run team, we understand that moving premises can be a big mental strain on you and your family, so we take care of the human side too. We’ll always take the time to introduce ourselves to you and pride ourselves on taking a weight off your shoulders during the often-stressful process of relocating.

I now have a great, friendly team working alongside me who would love to help you with your move. You can meet them here, and feel free drop us a message if you’d like to discuss your needs.

John & Marie

Man with van services
John & Marie founded the company back in 2000 when John got bored of driving a cab and being sat on his rear all day long.

Marie is who you will speak to first when calling Merseyside Movers & Storers. She runs the office, carries out the admin roles and makes sure John, when he’s in the office, has a healthy lunch.

John has more roles in the company than Warburtons have bread rolls. He drives the wagons, carries out house moves, plans the logistics, keeps the vehicles maintained, makes sure everything is in place and all goes to plan. He also does the company’s social media, washes the vehicles and runs the storage warehouse.

Frank

Merseyside Movers and Storers team member

Meet Frank, who given the chance will eat you out of house and home, but he has been in the removal business for a long time now and is the calming figure on arrival.

People are often stressed on the morning of move day, but not for long if Frank is on the job. Just make sure you have a few biscuits and a kettle handy and Frank will look after you and take the stress away.

Frank is a lifelong Evertonian (we can’t all be perfect!), so is usually unhappy after 5pm on a Saturday afternoon if he is working, but dedicated to making sure our customers are as relaxed as can be on their very important house-moving day.

Jack

Merseyside Movers Team

Here’s young Jack, who wears shorts and a hat all year round. Very committed to our company, he too will calm you down on arrival, maybe cracking a joke or two to relax you a little.

Jack loves Liverpool FC (so is usually a lot happier at 5pm on a Saturday afternoon than Frank) and is very good at what he does.

Paul

Merseyside Movers and Storers team member

Paul the arm. Like John was at his age, Paul is right into his fitness and rode a push bike nine miles a day each way for his first nine years working here. Now, he has got himself a motorbike.

Paul has been in the removal business for a long as John, and he drives the wagons like John does too. For some reason we can’t begin to understand as he lives in Merseyside, Paul supports Manchester United. He’s a very dedicated member of our company who has never had a day off sick (we don’t think viruses have a chance with him!) and he has years and years of experience in the removal and storage business

Between us all, we are very experienced at what we do and house moves are our main business, from a small one-bed apartment to the next town, to a large family home to another country. We have moved many footballers (some to European destinations) as well as celebrities to other parts of the UK – you name it, we’ve done it!  We’ve transported pianos of all shapes and sizes, up flights of stairs and over garage roofs. We move heavy safes and heavy machinery. We love a challenge here at Merseyside Movers & Storers, so if it can be moved manually, we can move it!

Our Reviews page, showing our Yell.Com and Google reviews says it all. You can put your faith in us 100% and be certain that you and your valuable belongings are in perfectly safe hands if you choose Merseyside Movers & Storers to carry out your move.
