Four good questions to ask a removal service

Whether you are moving far or near, there are many questions to ask the removal service when planning the move. Here are a few frequently asked questions you may ask a reliable moving company.

Will the moving team place items where I want them in the new home?

Provided the movers know where boxes, furniture and appliances belong, they will be delivered to the appropriate room.

Will the removal van be able to access the property?

The removal company will need access to a parking space for the removal van in the driveway or on the road outside the existing home and the new house. This is the responsibility of the client. However, you may require the cooperation of neighbours in reserving space on the road.

If there are parking restrictions on the road, you may need a permit from the local council for loading and unloading.

Do you transport frozen food?

Frozen food can typically last up to four hours in a disconnected freezer or cool bags, but is not safe to move long distances. Ideally, use up frozen food before the move, or give it away to neighbours.
