Many people moving home buy new furniture from IKEA as it can be both stylish and affordable. Now, IKEA has launched its own Life at Home platform that aims to make moving less stressful.
There are three services available: Home Move & Setup, Energy Services and a Family Credit Card.
The Home Move & Setup service is being trialled and is free to join. It handles utility transfers, council tax registration, broadband set-up, insurance, mail redirection and other services that need arranging for the new home. The service can also book a deep clean of the new home before moving in.
IKEA Energy Services aims to make the installation of renewable energy in the new home easier and more affordable. IKEA has partnered with Aira Heat Pumps and Soly Solar Panels to help customers find good deals on converting the home to use renewable energy sources and reduce energy bills.
The IKEA Family Credit Card helps spread the cost of buying furniture from IKEA for the new home. For purchases between £99 and £299 repaid over three months, there are no interest charges, but larger amounts spread over ten months or more add interest payments.
