However, there are conditions and visa requirements attached to these offers that need careful consideration before you pack your bags.
1. Ireland
The Our Living Islands initiative in Ireland gives cash grants up to £71,150 to people who buy and renovate homes on 30 coastal islands.
2. Switzerland
If you move to the village of Albinen in the Swiss Alps and are under 45 years old, you may qualify to receive £17,460 with an additional £8,730 for each child in the household.
3. Spain
Many places in Spain encourage professionals to move there to revitalise the communities. Cash incentives of around £2,500 are available.
4. Greece
The Greek Orthodox Church is offering £430 a month for three years for people moving to the island of Antikythera whose population has dwindled to just 45.
5. Japan
The Japanese government’s Regional Revitalisation Program gives up to £30,000 to families willing to move to rural towns.
6. Canada
The Saskatchewan Graduate Retention Program offers up to £11,580 tuition reimbursements to graduates from approved Canadian educational institutions who move to Saskatchewan in Canada.
