Zoopla partners with job platform to help home movers

Property website Zoopla has partnered with Airtasker in an attempt to make home moving easier.

Airtasker can be accessed directly from Zoopla’s website, and is designed to make it simple to hire reliable help from people in the local area for practical tasks such as furniture assembly, cleaning at the end of a tenancy and lifting heavy items. Help is also available to get a house ready for sale.

Airtasker chief executive Tim Fung has said the new partnership is focused around taking pressure away from movers by finding reliable help for jobs that can often make the process the slower.

To use the Airtasker service, home movers submit a task they want done and a budget. Tradespeople, known as Taskers, then offer their services. After the task is done, the Tasker is paid, and the home mover is encouraged to review them. There is normally a discount code available for money off the first task booked via the Zoopla website link.

Zoopla has a twelve-month agreement to partner with Airtasker. The service will be heavily promoted with a multi-channel marketing campaign. Zoopla’s chief operating officer, Rich Hayes, commented:

“We’re committed to supporting our users at every stage of their move. Partnering with Airtasker gives consumers direct access to a reliable marketplace for task services, with special rates for Zoopla users.”
